Redback Garrison

Date: 7 May 2011

Venue: Comics Haven Townsville

Time: 1000hrs - 1200hrs

Mission: To promote FCBD and the 501st in the North, also to raise money for Relay for Life

Trooper Attendance: Vepariga - TB, seantrooper - TKC

Support Crew: Kerry (comic store owner)

Detail: seantrooper arrived on site at 0945hrs to survey the invasion site. Had to do some last minute velcro attachements to secure my new electronics in the chest piece. By 1000hrs seantropper had successfully armoured up and was greeted by a swarm of mini imperial citizens. Many photos were taken. Sean quickly realised that hsi wireless mic setup was being stupid and not working, and returned to the changing room to ditch it. After armouring up for the second time, tb vepariga arrived and armoured up. Once again many photos were taken. We met one guy who was very interested in the 501st and sounded like he was keen on a b'day appearence for his son, we gave him our website, posed or even more photos then moved along.

We then walked down to toys'r'us and visited the stores along the way, many donations and photos were happily taken.

at 1200 we de-armoured and left. Big thanks to kerry who donated $50 for coming.

Charity Funds Raised: $137.55

Injuries: seantrooper sucessfully ripped of half his fingernail when trying to de-armour.

Malfunctions: silly wireless mic failed.

Public Incidents: none

Mission Status: complete success and congratulations to vepariga for a successful first troop!

Good stuff guys, sorry I didn't make it, had some other things that need to get done and it ran a bit longer than expected.
Great photos, Vepariga you TB is looking good must be close to submitting photos for approval.
Hope you get your wireless mic setup working Sean hope it's nothing serious.

yeah,i was actually looking for some small boxes to fill them out before i left but i couldnt find any lol I'll pack them with foam next time
