relay for life - scoot040 - Sunday 24-May-2015

TIME - 2:00 TO 5:30
VENUE - Kawana state high school oval
MISSION - To help cancer council with their relay by walking around school oval with people who want to raise awareness of cancer
TROOPERS - scoot040 (TI)
solo (TK)
SUPPORT CREW - Gaugerage and his other half Heather
Details - Myself ,Solo and Gaugerage met up with organizational staff and found out when they wanted to get started. Had opening ceremony then let main group of people start off then fell in behind them and started walking around the track.
Had plenty of pictures taken with all of the campsites that are placed around and most of the walkers.

Good job getting this going while most of us were tied up with Dreamworld. Relays for Life is very important, and not just as a fundraiser. They tend to be smaller, local events which attract local families. A lot of the people there will have had some cancer journey of their own, either as carers or survivors and the events can be quite emotional. Kudos to you troopers, well done.
