Everton Park State School Fete - Disco - Sunday 11-Sep-2016 Date: Saturday 10th June Venue: Everton Park State School Time: 2pm - 5pm Mission: To melt faces with our awesome skills and give smiles to those who attended. Funds Raised: $67.75 Trooper Atendance: Disco TK Chiro TK MjrD TK Whitey RC Teiwaz TB Dark Dora DZ Slide Effect TI Monion DZ MyKill TI:RP Support Crew: Imperial Drone Bally The day, or as I prefer to call it, PONYPALOOZA started at about 11:30 with a few troopers arriving early to scope out the area and set up the wanted prop for the day's proceedings. We found the lack of coffee vans disturbing. The weather forecast was also less than favourable but that was not going to stop this little shindig from happening. As the time came to suit up, troopers rolled in as did support crew and we got ready to do our thing. As first time POC for me, I made the rookie mistake of over-promising to help get numbers up, and may have mentioned ponies. This was a magnet for pony lovers listed in the Trooper Attendance, who just would not let that tiny detail go, and as a result, as a man of my word ponies were provided, and I am sure that each trooper will post pics of their new kit addition. Not long after the event started, the rain decided to hit. We had a small issue with the wanted poster, snapping a plastic connector whilst moving it out of the rain. The decision was made to move props to the change room and go to roam mode. Bubble off. On the go repairs being made. Another pony reference. Slide Effect keeps falling for these things. Big Fan. A couple of TK's decided to interrogate a suspicious individual in soft armour. Big mistake. She had friends. The old huge humans in tiny chairs trick. Sure. Rub it in. All in all, a good little troop - a shame the weather closed in, however still a good turnout for both our troops and also the school. Funds raised: $67.75 Injuries: Slide Effect received an accidental uppercut from a youngling when told to "put em up", however recovered well. Wanted Poster also suffered a busted joiner but easy fix ( thank Palpatine ) YAY TEAM. RE: Everton Park State School Fete - Teiwaz - Sunday 11-Sep-2016 Wet fetes arent a lot of fun. We've done a couple of them this year and they're a disappointment for the families and limits the fundraising for the school. With a limited number of activities the kids can do indoors, one of them is getting photos with us. So our presence at these fetes is really appreciated by the organisers and the families.
