Redlands Newbie - hyperlance - Tuesday 20-Sep-2016
Hi All!
I've been a long time fan of the 501st, and saw you all at comic con. I was the slightly pregnant darth vader rocking around (nice term to say I have a big gut LOL). Since the visit I've been inspired to join up. I've figured I'm a little too short to pull off a decent dark vader, so I'm going to go with my next favourite sith - Darth Revan.
I've studied the korean way of the sword -kumdo and this is one of the reasons I like Revan, besides loving his helmet for a long time. Plus seems there is only one other Revan in the 501st in Australia so love to be the second.
I've already started sourcing things like the mask, gloves, boots, and hakama. I've studied the korean way of the sword and this is one of the reasons I like revan. As I understand it you have an armor making group meeting which will help heaps with the chest armor and probably building in a girdle to hide my girth
My wife is a quilter and has a room dedicated to this, so I'll most likely being getting her involved to help out with other things.
Question for the moment, is where is the best place to get light sabres? I saw lots at comic con and i think one would look good with my other sword collection.

Nothing wrong with a shorter Vader but a Revan would be decidedly cool. Sign up over here -http://www.theflagshipeclipse.com/ for all things Revan. Do lots of research, and avoid ebay. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum!
There's a couple of places for the mighty glow sticks, most of which are in the US. I get most of mine from www.ultrasabers.com. They have removable blades, and are good for duelling IMO.
You can search locally for the Black Series Force FX lightsabers (they're replicas of Darth Vaders, Luke Skywalker etc etc). You can sometimes find them online through Target, Toys r Us, Popcultcha and other places.

Did a lot of research last night on the theflagshipeclipse and found a great thread and pictures. Helped my picked a lightsabre, but the armor, oh my that is going to be a huge project
Oh and I really love helmets and always the loved the imperial guard one as well. I got star wars stickers on the back of my car. At the time dark vader had sold out so I went with a imperial guard.
