Relay for Life Townsville - seantrooper - Sunday 30-May-2010 ok I know this is a little late, but here it is Date: 22nd - 23rd May 2010 Venue: Townsville Sports Reserve Time: 1500 - 0900 hrs Mission: to raise awareness to the galaxy about cancer Trooper Attendance: seantrooper - TK Support Crew: mum, nan, Detail: arrived at 1230hrs to set up camp at invasion site, my gonk was left to guard the camp whilst I went ewok hunting for some lunch. Armoured up just before the opening lap and stood at the sidelines saluting the survivors, it was great seeing their faces light up when they saw me I walked for the first hour and got recorded on the local inhabitant's 'video camera' for the news broadcast (muppet can confirm this haha). I ended up putting the armour on about 4 times over the entire event, every time I was a big hit. I had a grand total of 45 mins sleep.. but I lasted the entire event, even though in the final laps I resorted to wearing just my bucket( and clothes of course!) oh yeah... relay theme was "Aussie" Injuries: none Malfunctions: my right shoulder bell fell off after a rather rough hug... the perpetrator was found to be a rebel spy and was soon disposed of. Public Incidents: none, although there would have been if I one more person tried to take my blaster... Mission Status: a complete success, personally I ended up raising about $400 so I am pretty happy with that Photos: camp seantrooper gonking it up yours truly aaaaargh!!! half dressed TK armoured up and ready to go tea break... TK vs Ned Kelly trying the local cantina whos awesome?? this guy was the coolest fan ever, he ran up to me and played the metal version of imperial march for me a bit of my photography one of the final laps me with my baton gonk in full use apparantly part of castle hill is meant to look like Jabba.... see if you can spot him. seantrooper out RE: Relay for Life Townsville - Moxxxie - Sunday 30-May-2010 Awesome work, Sean!
