Hi from Townsville

Hi all,

My name is Ben and i was glad to have the opportunity to meet some of our local member here in Townsville. I had the opportunity and the honour to escort the members around my store for our toy sale launch weekend, and i have to say it was great to see how many smiles were on all the kids faces.

I have always loved Star Wars and i can't wait to build my own costume.
Im not sure on a costume as of yet, but i do like the Mos Eisley sand troopers from Ep IV and clone troopers from the animated series.

Looking forward to this new adventure..!

Ben

Welcome Ben, the easy option would be to do both Hehehe but there are plenty of costumes to choose from so need to rush into making a decision...just yet. And hopefully soon you'll be able to bring smiles to a lot more kids yourself Doppeldaumen1

Welcome Ben!

If your keen on a Sandtrooper you can check out: http://www.501st.com/crl/TD_CRL/TD002_Sa...dex002.php
for the requirements.

In saying that, all Sandtroopers start off as a Stormtrooper until you "dirty it up" so you have a chance to change your mind.

Speak to some of the local members up there who will (i'm sure) weigh in shortly.

I think the Sandtroopers have a different sniper plate on the left knee to the Stormtroopers and likey there are other differences i'm not across off top of my head

True, the initial difference is the sniper plate on the left knee. The only other differences with the initial assembly are no stripes on the traps and tears over the grey on the helmet and no thermal grenade attached to the back of the belt, although, the end caps for this are used in the assembly of the backpack. Most armour suppliers will supply both the TD and TK kneeplates with their kits on request.

Hi Ben,

Good to see the Townsville group growing. I'm working on a Biker Scout and have a non approvable but from Mando in the making as well.

Enjoy

These blast points — too accurate for sandpeople. Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise. Tk
