If you are keen on a stormtrooper have a look through the Costume Reference Library (CRL) as there are a few variants to choose from :

For your research, I strongly advise you to sign up on the White Armour website or FISD. It is the place for all storm trooper info, you will also find a list of vetted armour supliers:
