Troop Report
Date: Sat 9th July 2011

Venue:Gold Coast Hospital

Time:11am-2

Mission:To visit the sick and unwell citizens injured by Imperial villainy (I kinda have to put a rebel spin on this one guys)

Trooper Attendance:
Redpaint
Muppet
Crypto
Phantom
Jim Cricket
Oigen
Seantrooper

Support Crew:
MouldMan

Detail:
This troop started out on a nice day as the twin suns were shining down upon us. After meeting up with Muppet, Phantom, Crypto, Seantrooper and Redpaint i escorted the troopers to the offices where i earn galactic credits when i am not bringing peace to the galaxy. Soon after JimCricket after possibly receiving order 66 to keep the rebels at bay.

After a quick rendezvous with MouldMan in the lobby we were off to see the padawan learners in the sick bay.

Upon arriving at the ward we learned that there wasn't a large number of children currently unwell(which is awesome) but the five or so that were there were thrilled to see us.

During this time troopers hung out with the children whilst they were watching wrestling, handed out toys and clone war dvds for the ward, and posed for photos.

After this visit we learned there were more unwell children down in the emergency department so we set off to bring more cheer.

As soon we entered the emergency we were swamped by all the awesome doctors and nurses requesting photos (Doctors holding lightsabers gives new meaning to laser surgery). Whilst we were in the department we brought smiles to everybody young and old.

One gentleman was even welcomed by all the troopers as soon as he exited the ambulance (imagine his surprise as he is greeted by stormtroopers).

After a quick stop to the staff break room we were ushered back into A/E and into a small room and before JimCricket could say "ITS A TRAP" all the troopers were locked into the safe room designated for dangerous patients.

All troopers successfully evaded capture and after taking more photos in front of the hospital proceeded to de-armour and travelled to oigen's for a well deserved snag on the BBQ.

Injuries:None

Malfunctions:Apart from a slight soundcard bug with oigen's lightsaber all went great

Public Incidents:None

Mission Status:A great success. smiles from everybody whether they be patients to staff. Also i would love to deeply thank all involved who made the first troop i have organised outstanding Doppeldaumen1

Well Done to all.

Thanks Ash for organising the visit. It was great that there weren't many children present. I think there were more staff than anyone else.
Thanks to those that donated items to be given away to the kids, Tanna spent $50 on books and pencils. I have all the leftover books/stickers/soft toys etc with me, for the next hospital visit.

Nice report Ash,

Was a good troop to do and good to see not to many kids having to stay in hospital.

Also the guy that was just off the ambulance was from dreamworld I think, least thats what it sounded like he said. Something to do with the croc feeding or the lions.

@Redpaint - That is Al Mucci, Head of Wildlife Sciences at DW, who is the guy that let's us feed the crocs and get the photos with the snakes and koalas. Looks like he had a bit of a footy accident. Will have to give him some stick. He should of just waited until May to say hi to the troopers again haha.

Great troop guys. Wish I could of made it. One day I will have a job when I don't work the weekend....one day haha.
