Games of the 3rd Indigo Fair 2012

Detail:
For Years the clock has counted down to the Opening Ceremony, the world glued to the TV screens watching as the highly anticipated 3rd attended (by the 501st) Inidgo Fair begins....

A lone trooper walks out of his chariot into this great stadium known as Indooroopilly State Primary School greeted by stadium volunteers, he see's great buildings and tents with local signage selling foods and trinkets representing the host nation.


Troopers start arriving into an overhead change room above the stadium readying themselves for the march on to the field!


Some of the most feared troopers from around the galaxy earned themselves into the history pages on that day inc Darth Nihilus fighting for back to back records in the Snake Dueling, and newcomber TK Commander Phoenix Defending his title against the jedi movement, also little known Officers Lei and Buzzard fresh out of Officer Training to help referee piece and order.


Time came for the troopers to march out onto field, quickly to the Snake handlers arena of the games was Darth Nihilus keen to prove his skills and earned a Gold Medal performance.


Next lead by the trooper with more detachments then the combined team was Gunner Bean gunning for the football, didnt make it to the semis but TKC scored 1 and beanie 0, was an amusing game to watch... better luck next year!



The next event was the "How fast can you mount a stationary police motor bike"
out comes TKC does a few stretches and gets a time of 2min 34sec
Darth Nihilus races out of the starting line and bounces on top in a record 53sec! a new world record!!
out of no where a Jedi Cat appears challenges the Darth and the crowd cheers on!
Can she do it with that tail of hers.... can she get up and over that tall seat.... its getting close.... 1 sec out and what.....help from another Jedi, the crowd BOOs but ohhh she gets there in 53.01sec..... just not Good enough!




The Galaxies most dirty trooper arrived late but ready for his event... its TD Cav in his specialty event Gymnastics, he pulls a few cool moves dances rymical to some classic rock and ends his routine with the old "Use BFG as a Guitar and scissor rock out", Judges Score now please...... 56 with a difficulty of just 5!




Archery was next, Gunner Bean was hot favorites for this event.... his been practicing and well its his day job, so if he failed here.... Lord Vader would more than likey send him home packing!
The Target was the Earth's Moon, just slowly raising... his been here manytimes this Gunner Bean.... takes aim... and BANG goes the E-11 direct bullseye thats 100 points new galaxy record!




towards the afternoon it was time to mingle with the public that attended these events, the local civilians ecstatic and proud to have us, bought their camera and took plenty of snap happy pics for them to take home....






Troopers now arranged into order to receive the medals of the events they won....



as day turned dark and as the ending of the games came the best fireworks display since Sydney 2000, let loose.

a few sugar high kids testing the troopers limits with water guns and general silliness.

another great successful event for both the legion and the school!

It was a great day!

Got to test run my ID, got some helpful input from Beanie to make it better and should we mention that little disciplinary issue with a certain, nameless clonetrooper? I got him sorted out too.
