The call went out to the fighting 501st Redbacks. There was a desperate need for Hero’s to save the day. A young boy by the name of Luke was turning 7 and did not want to have a Birthday party. His mother Sophie sent a request to us. She was diagnosed was terminal cancer on his 6th birthday and because of this he did not want to celebrate this day. Luke is a big Star Wars fan and seeing that this could be their last birthday together Sophie wanted to make it the best he had ever had. Our mission – to battle against despair and to make it a day to remember.

The call was answered the mighty 501st Redbacks who touched down at 10.30am local time zone and soon assembled at the rally point. We were quickly joined by Batman and Spiderman who had also heard the call for Hero’s to save the day. We advance into the field of action and were soon met by civilians wanting to take holo-records of this event. After the mad professor had finished his chemistry show, we advanced onto the dance area. It seems a Rebel spy was working as a DJ and tried to defeat us with an extended version of “ Gangnam Style”. Our brave troopers and super hero’s soldiered through the battle sweat and fatigue to stand victorious once more. After this we mingled to boost moral of the locals.

A pesky Jawa snuck into the fairly floss tent and started to make his own creation. But thankfully TK 3989 was on scene to arrest the cheeky critter. We could tell our mission was succeeding . Sophie and Luke were smiling and enjoying the day just like any other normal family. Lunch was served and we regrouped back at the transport garage for a well earned break. Soon after we all joined in for the local custom of cutting the birthday cake.

Our mission was indeed a success. We brought smiles and laughter to a young boys very special birthday.

An awesome job and big thank you to everyone who made this day possible.

Injuries / Malfunctions:

Just one sick Jawa still suffering from the Space Flu
