Details:
The day started with an inquiry from a local surveillance crew in regards to the whereabouts of the Storming Australia Trooper. A Hoth trooper intercepted the transmission and proceeded to organise a transport for Trooper Lox. The mission was to provide information to the local news crew and promote the Outstanding mission that is “Storming Australia”. This was a success, with the transmission being broadcast across the local holo-network.

The Snowtrooper then dropped of the Lox at a secret location to meet up with a fellow Sandtrooper. The 2 TD’s then boarded a transport heading to the Officeworks Space Port. They arrived to the smell of Bantha and Wamp Rat sausages being cooked up with some onion by the local Vietnam Veterans, assisted by the Girl Guides. Upon further reconnaissance, they discovered 2 of those pesky Jawa’s. They had stowed away on a transport from the wretched hive, approximately 1.5 hours away, that is Bundaberg Wink

There was a little Jedi there also, who "Forced" the citizens into donating, with a power known as "Force-Cuteness". Jedi Jesse was amazing all day, taking time out from the local Jedi Temple/School to assist the Lox.

The Sandtroopers quickly enlisted the help of the 2 Jawa’s and young Jedi, keeping a close eye on them Wink Wink, whilst they all collected credits from the public to go towards the “Storming Australia” fundraising mission. The Vietnam Veterans and Girl Guide crew kindly donated the credits taken for their barbequed goodness. Despite the Kamino like weather conditions, the locals still ventured down to meet the Lox and donate some credits to the cause also.

Another local reconnaissance crew showed up to gather information and report on the mission, and later distributed it across the galaxy via print and holo-vision.

As the Kamino conditions continued to rain on the parade, the Sandtroopers evaluated the surrounds, pulled the Jawa’s into line and decided to Move Along and set up the collection Road Block at another location. Young Jedi Jesse mumbled something about the location not being the one we were looking for and that we could go about our business.

The transports were boarded and they delivered the Jedi, Troopers and Jawa’s to the Spaceport of Stockland. Bases were set up at Docking Bays Target, Coles and K-Mart. With a Cyclone of Brady proportions on the horizon, citizens were battening down the hatches and taking shelter in their dwellings. This didn’t stop the Jedi, Troopers and Jawa’s though. They continued to rendezvous at the 3 locations, intercepting citizens as they passed through the checkpoints. Lots of credits continued to flow into the collection receptacles as the citizens revelled in the presence of the Lox. His story and fundraising mission was inspiring to all and gave great pride and satisfaction to the Jedi, 2 Jawa’s and the other Sandtrooper, as they were able to help him with his mission.

Weather aside, it was a great Troop for my first outing. I only suffered 1 minor malfunction over the entire day and that was at the end (velcro coming away from mask - easy fix though). It was an eye opener indeed. The weather, while able to dampen my costume, was unable to dampen my enjoyment and drive to troop again as soon as possible and as often as possible.

Thank you to Baytrooper and Scott, and the 501st GML for allowing to troop and test out our costumes.

Cheers
DarkFather
