Hey Matt, check out the CRL and also post your image and ask the same question over at FISD, just in case you intend to build to EIB and Centurion, the more feedback you get the better.

HI Scorpion, As Bruce gave me the advice, start to get all you snaps, glue, velcro before your kit arrives.

There are heaps of AM thread builds on the FISD which are brilliant. the AM kit is fairly easy with some tricky points compared to other models, but all good.

The build is slow only due to me being "time poor" at the moment.

If your on the coast pop in and you can see what the AM kit will look like when it arrives, and what i have done so far. the last week after work I have been making snap plates, straight from the BIDS Build".

I am working on the kit all weekend (wife away) so looking to get it really close.

Peter

oh yeh forgot to mention, go with Bruce suggestion on the magnets, mine arrived yesterday and they are awesome. so strong the metal ruler bends when it is near them yet still easy to manage. Doppeldaumen1

They look ok mate. You just need to be sure that they match the description and images.

I think they look ok. You may need to take off a bit of the sole so that it appears flat from the outside, if you know what I mean.

That was my on concern Steve , the notches are visible at the side but the belt sander would take a few mill off .

What size magnets should I buy from aussiemagnets I buy the 10-15mm ones but they aren't strong enough for the pressure I think the armor in going to need so what is the best size

What glue will you use to assemble your armour?, if using CA glue, you wont need the magnets. Buy a clamp pack from Bunnings and let me know when you are ready to build, ill give you a hand to get you started.
