Were we're are going we don't need roads.... we used footpaths!

Having arrived from the future, this year we had 17 walkers, news articles from the future (today) stated the money we raised put us in 4th position overall, so as it was our duty to make sure that figure stayed true, our 11th year walking as a team in the MS Moonlight Walk we smashed records, We raised $13808! largely due to Oz Comic Con and Brisbricks events and some fantastic fundraising from Duras earning himself the Blue Lantern top 100 fundraiser pack, and Phantom and many others collected huge amounts for their personal targets, well done!

Around 4:30pm a sitting waiting Kev was at the change room tent (setup for us by the MS Staff again), Myself, Baytrooper and the Mad Max braced leg, Bids joined him and soon after the other imperial shuttles landed and the rest of the team members began to change and kit up for per walk photos, as the public also got ready we joined in at the front of the line for the 6pm start.

Count down on.... when this walk hits 3.5km/h you will see some serious.... Walkers!

Marching down the southbank parklands in 2 by 2 formation, The sun setting, the moon over head (thats no Moon....) and the weather just perfect for such a night there was not going to be much sweating like previous years... not a sign of rain either! Too bad the post office isn't as efficient as the weather service!

As we approached the Goodwill Bridge the 5km Trooper Fampa and youngling broke off to scout the short track for any Rebels, word received Rebels were spotted at the Start Line, Qin stayed behind to entertain the walkers as they returned from the walk, giving High fives and Bows to the Blue and White Lantern walkers. One lady in a wheelchair with a white lantern went "Ooh now thats classy!" Plenty of the returning people stopped to "bop" along with Qin.
Bids on his crutches also watched on, he was happy to stay and greet and talk to the public and seemed to have been relieved to be out of the Imperial Hospital beds.

The 10Km walkers which inc General Veers, 2 ATAT pilots, ISB, a TK, a TB, A Snowie, a TX, A Clone, Boba Fett and a Eisley bar patron neared the local Story Bridge Cantina Bar, we were greeted to warm welcomes and a frosty cold beverage. Thank you Cobra and Kev.

Up and over the bridge, a wave to the skys, thinking of Sniper as he hated that part of the walk. Many a stories were told of the walks from previous years, passing the 4 kms to go sign, a scream was heard from ATAT Pilot Cre8tiv trooper slipped on some misplaced tree debris (maybe its was those RL, trying to slip up an ATAT walker!) Cre8tiv was fine, her first time trooping in the new approved armour, now has a great story for that mark on the knee guard.

Also at some point Bikerscout Shutter, lost her shutter lens from her helmet from all the bouncing around avoiding blasters (or was it dancing around?)

Passing the crowds along the Riverside restaurant precinct down the rivers edge and into the Gardens time was certainly passing by fast... no need for a time machine here.

and then before we knew it, back in formation marched back to the finish line and crossed it in 2hours 35mins.

Well done all.

after that it was time to change and head off to some food and head on back to the Cruisers.

Charity Funds Raised:
our team raised $13808 as of today and most of that came from:
$6,315 Oz Comic Con collection
$2,528 Brisbricks 3 day event collection
$2,000 donation cheque from Brisbricks
$299 Astro Petes
$61 Stretton State College Starry Nights

also Duras raised $710 on his own making him the Blue Lantern 100 Fundraiser pack, Well done SIR!

Injuries / Malfunctions:
Veers broke his Ab piece while trying to push his belt throw the slots at the start of the night.
Cre8tiv slipped on a Palm frond down a sloppy road and
Shutters lens slipped off from her helmet.
I also heard Kev may have twisted his leg or foot?
Also Duras had some armour pinches.
