Gasp I hear? I know I know...tampering with a Woodchuck is seen as a bad thing in the eyes of many. But not for Whitey and myself :P :P

Whitey asked me to mod the original resin blaster, but once he got his hands on the Woodchuck he asked me to turn my efforts to this one.

I got rid of the ridiculously large grip...

Then I removed the forward grip and began to level it out, make it more symmetrical. Not fun!

Some of the original details were kept, but neatened up to more like something more crisp and clean.

More of the original details were squared up with bog and more detail added with styrene plates cut on the scrollsaw.

A new handle was sourced and fitted with the original electronics...

More of the original details were cleaned up and primed.

I replaced the blast shield with a larger more dynamic style Wink

Moved onto the mags and reworked them...made them more symmetrical and added more details like bolts in the ends.

Had to add switches onto the body to accomidate the new electrical system Whitey and Altair had worked on.

A light was also added to the top of the blaster. The housing and the top cover I 3D printed. Then finished with the XTC-3D resin for a smoother finish.

Another piece I 3D printed was a personalised end cap for the mag.

Alas...this is where I leave it though. As much as I would have loved to finish this beast and do Whitey proud, time is against me. Due to personal reasons, I have handed the blaster back over to Whitey so he can continue to mod this nice blaster into a grand blaster!! Good luck Trooper!
Nice work mate, you did well Smile
Well done , shame you couldn't finish it but family comes first
Nice work Tim, I hope Whitey post up a continuation thread so we can see this baby come full circle.
Awesome work Tim, I like the little details you added. Most wont see them.. but we know they are there Smile

That electronics kit was a fun one! I added some code for a secondary rocket launcher function.
That looks very nice. The ability to customise with 3D printing is great.
