I heard the dark side had cookies so I just had to join. My partner is also apart of the 501st so I thought I coyld steal her cookies as well.

Jawas and officers make for a nice easy start. Or even a TIE reserve Pilot (particularly if you want to make a TIE fighter down the road). The options are almost limitless.
Good luck with whatever build you pursue, and don't forget to do lots of research!

I'm new too and I'm starting to build a Tusken Raider costume. Heaps of soft parts with mainly the mask and the gaffi stick being hard.
I'm also considering putting together an Imperial Mechanic costume to wear while wrangling.
At the end of the day you can make whatever you want. You're not limited to one.
I am greatful for the info. Might look into all suggestions to get me started. I want an easy one to start with then create more.
Tie Reserve pilots are pretty easy to get together and you have the added bonus of being the basis of a few other costumes too with just a few added details. Plus everyone looks good in black
I hear black is very slimming. Would have to be my winter uniform.

Yes she is. She has said that an officer would be cheap and easy to begin with.
