Details: Another year another growing Nundah Festival! This is a great community street event and we were again invited by Paul at Fast Break Sports store to attend. A great sign up list of troopers, we assembled for a meet and greet then starting with the obligatory group photo outside Fast Break Sports at 10am, then into the festival in several groups with our trusty officers keeping a wary on our troopers. The crowds were great and soooo many kids in Star Wars tshirts and caps meant photos and hi fives were popular. Nilrem proved that snowies can be good shots and actually hit one of the targets at the ‘pew pew’ Nerf gun game. For the record the Sandtrooper missed. A good break for lunch, then time for the afternoon shift. A generous donation to our nominated charity was promised from the local publican (Who always donates $50) and stacks of photos taken.

By 2.30pm we had more than succeeded in our mission and by 3pm we were all departing to our own parts of the universe, with some to the pub for a relaxing glass of blue milk to celebrate another awesome troop. In the end a very warm day, and a lot of weary troopers (we really gotta get change rooms not up 2 flights of stairs Paul!)

Charity Funds Raised: $800!!! $750 by Fast Break Sports for our attendance and a $50 donation by the Prince of Wales Hotel (TBC)

Injuries / Malfunctions: NIL

Public Incidents: NIL though Nilrem nearly did a face plant tripping, but recovered in time to just look silly. A very upset kiddies (remember its not a troop until a kid cries…)

Mission Status: Mission accomplished. Great troop, good fun, and a great donation to the Pyjama Foundation. Three costume trial runs all went well. Another excellent cooperative and fun troop. Thanks all see ya next year!

Looked like all had a brilliant time Doppeldaumen1
That darn lens flare! Seriously though, I'm glad that this was my first (unofficial) troop in costume. The atmosphere was great and the food and stalls were excellent.

Great job team. Doppeldaumen1
Always a fun troop and pleasant post troop chillout.

Great job everyone!

I had a quick look around the festival with my girlfriend, and managed to take some sneaky snaps. Unfortunately I didn't get everyone, as I wasn't able to stay there for long.

Haha yeah it is, she took a selfie with you guys too.

I didn't want to take up too much time, so many people were lining up to get photos with you all
Yeah but if you had told us we would happily have introduced ourselves Smile ..........and possibly roped you into some shennanigans, that happens sometimes too.
