Designed as much for elegance in combat as for ceremony, the lightsaber, also referred to as the "laser sword" by those who were unfamiliar with it, was a distinctive weapon, the very image of which was inextricably bound with the mythos of the Jedi Order and their polar opposites, the Sith.
The most popular "brands" of Lightsaber are the Master Replica sabers and the Hasbro FX Lightsabers. The MR sabers are becoming rarer to find for sale and if you do find one for sale they tend to be quite expensive.
The FX sabers can be found easy enough still on shopping sites such as Ebay, Amazon etc. Shop around to find the best price.

Can be used to duel however for the cost it puts you off that. They are extreamily professionaly made, high end hilt. The blade lights up from the bottom up and reverse when turning off. They will do some custom work for a minimum of +$150 on top of the hilt you choose. Postage times is 10 to 12 weeks min. An example saber is $440 (no sound, flash on clash) but they do look awesome. Communications with them is terrible, hard to get them to respond. Blade replacement $130.

These guys make hilts. They look ok but not the greatest looking workmenship. They make 2 types of hilts, 1 for show and 1 for dueling. The show type 1 has no hole for blade insertion. The dueling type has a hole for the blade but no electronics. They will do customs. A Standard type jedi hilt is about $400. These guys are ok with communication.Â
