Mission Report:

After picking Alex (Tachyon) up from the airport bright and early at 8:00 am, we headed to Blue's Point reserve arriving just after 9:00 am. Upon arriving we grabbed some breakfast then unloaded the car and started to assemble the changing mansion, out of the way of some early morning personal trainers and trainees.

After unpacking it and looking at what appeared to be random numbers on the poles, and then discovering the hidden code (through the instruction manual), Alex and I quickly got to work putting up the change area. Chris (Old Trooper) was the first trooper to arrive at about 10:00 am and helped finish up the steam box change tent. Soon the rest of the troopers started to arrive and put their kits in the tent.

After much chatter, catching up, meeting and greeting, at around 12:00 pm a briefing was made and troopers started to kit up. Soon the general public that were on leisurely walks noticed something strange was occuring and starting snapping up pictures.
Our photographer for the day soon arrived at about 12:30/1:00 pm and soon we were all lining up for photos.

The first session consisted of amazing shots taken with wide angle shots covering the whole group consisting of our 33 501st troopers and 2 Rebel Legion troopers and a little sneaky Jawa along with Hi-fiving Jacob as he strolled past.

We had a short break where some troopers were interviewed for a possibly documentary on Jacob, then the second session commenced with shots of Jacob walking down a 'Welcome' escort to be greeted by our very own Emperor Beanie. This was photographed and video'd (once again for the doco).

Another break and more interviews while Jacob had some nice cheeeeeeeesey photos with his family. We then had more photos consisting of each garrison, different costumes and a bunch of other photos.

Everyone was hugely patient throughout the whole shoot and I personally am thankful for all the troopers cooperation and the wranglers ability to help hydrate our troopers throughout the heat of the day!

Throughout all the breaks, there were some a bunch of mucking around happening thanks to our Redback brothers and sisters on the playground.

After everyone had de-kitted, the tent was packed up, people headed off to their respective accomodation or headed straight to the mixer. An enourmous amount of fun was had at the mixer and some things we won't speak about occured (people having a chat and drink on the 'balcony').

All in all, the troop that is and was Jacob's celebration of his Almost Finish was a huge success due to the dedication of troopers from all of the 501st Garrisons of Australia.

Thank you to all of the interstate troopers especially for making the trip from Queensland and Victoria to show your appreciation for the one and only Troopertrek!

Mission Status: Complete Success - We had this like Jacob had his finish on the 31st of March!

A huge thank you to all the troopers from the Terror Australis and Redback Garrisons for coming into Southern Cross Garrison Territory and trooping along side us Smile

Ladies and gents, I really do have to say a huge thank you to all of my Redback brothers and sisters that made the trip down to Sydney for the troop. It's a huge encouragement to Jacob that you guys and girls made the trip to show your appreciation for what he's done.

Thank you for making the shoot (and the mixer after Wink ), such an epic time. Thank you for your patience with me throughout the day as well!

It WILL be an honour to troop along side you all again in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Rev
It was an honour and a pleasure to come down and troop with you. Already looking forward to the next time! Doppeldaumen1

PS: Lei was a Redback wrangler also. Smile
