Well done guys, it's a shame I couldn't make it.
Well done troopers! This is why I love what we do Smile
Notworthy Great job Redbacks!! Notworthy
Great job! Would have loved to do this one too, but I'd used up my babysitting allowance with my parents taking the boys so I could do the Lego troop on Saturday.
I have had a few emails from Michaels mum today mainly to do with photos, website/facebook and to make sure we are at SupaNova, she bought their tickets today. Photos are here

Below is part of an email from her:

Hello Steve,

Here are a few photos from Michaels party (30/9/12), for you. There's also some from another guest. They are all jpeg files. Feel free to edit.

I have a question ... Do you guys have an Australian/Brisbane facebook page? I found one but is American based. I would love to help promote 501st Legion/Australia-QLD.

As much as Michael seemed embarrassed, he loved it! When I took him back to the ward he had the biggest grin on his face. The nurses asked how his day went, he boasted about you guys and emphasised the fun of having Lord Vader presenting the cake! All said with the biggest smile I've seen in months! All the guests enjoyed the experience as well.

It truly was a great day Steve. Again, thank you all SOOOO much for your patience and time. We will see you at the Supavova (bought the tickets today!)!

Enjoy the photos!

I did ask how Michael is doing and her response was:

Michael is doing ok. Just being a stubborn teenager. I think he's starting to enjoy all the attention and having people running around after him! His kidneys are still borderline failure.

So I wished her and Michael all the best from all of us at the Redbacks.
Thanks for the update Steve,

Great pic!!
Very cool, Boba is in the background too. Yes you look very awesome Lord Vader Smile
I got this email from our Camp Quality contact Julie.

Hey there Steve,

I have just returned to the office today – had a quick chat with Angie yesterday but believe that Michael’s birthday was a huge success thanks to you all!! Told that he had a smile on his face all afternoon – this is no mean feat so please pass on a huge thank you to all who helped make this happen!

From our perspective, Michael has been really struggling with his challenges this year and there has been many a conversation/brainstorm as to how we can bring a smile to his face with not a lot working. The fact that we can call on the amazing 501st Legion to help make this happen is very special and we are very, very grateful!!!

Thank You

Jules
That's what we do it for..Smile

top job team redback
I received an email just before SN and I am sorry that I didn't get around to posting it earlier.

Also, wanted to let you know that Angie has advised me that Michael (16th Birthday) is going to Supanova this weekend too and is going as a Ninja so he can hide his scarring on face but is very excited. Letting you know just in case he comes up to say hi! (FYI – Angie feels that his birthday with you guys attending has been a real turning point for him and his family – great stuff!)

I am sorry I missed him.
