Venue: Central Station

Time: 0700 to 0900

Mission: To collect funds to aid the Children's Hospital Foundation

Trooper Attendance:
TheWolf - TK4132
Chief - TB7925
Phantom - BH5389
Glitch - CC5092
Deimos - TR8139

Guest Trooper Attendance: Nil

Support Crew:
The Scotsman - SL2153 (Wrangler)

Detail: TheWolf and Chief arrived early, scouting the area and awaiting the arrival of the Queensland Rail collectors, and the other troopers. The collectors arrived just after 7am, followed shortly by the imposing figure of Boba fett.
We started collecting and posing for photos, and were joined shortly thereafter by Glitch and Deimos to support our efforts.

We split into smaller groups, to spread ourselves amongst the collectors. The ones I spoke to said they had never had such a response, or such attention from the public.

Many photos were taken by the public, and we believe we even saw a batman out of uniform, who was then forced to make a donation himself. (He's not that tough without his armour... Smile )

After two hot hours of collecting, we gathered for some well deserved water.
The collectors were all overjoyed with our efforts. I would not be surprised if we are asked back in the future.
Overall funds raised were $5800.00, and I believe much of that was due to our efforts.

Charity Funds Raised: $5800.00 over multiple sites.

Injuries: Nil

Malfunctions: None that I know of.

Public Incidents: Nil unless you include over awed.

Mission Status: Success.

Great report Dave.

Awesome couple of hours....so many people. Had a few double takes and strange looks on my way back to work in the Valley.
This was a fun day. on both the train up and back down there were many odd looks. Me and Sean ended up doing a little photo shoot while we waited for our train :P We had more people that wanted to donate but we said we couldn't take their money Smile It was worth the train ride up :P
Great work guy's.
I'm so glad I got to say hi to you all this morning before calling it a morning Smile Great effort!

[attachment=1278][attachment=1279] hey guys it was great to meet a few of you briefly at the station, what an awesome sight!!! Especially when I introduced myself and Boba Fett said 'I'm the one making your Jawa mask!' was not expecting that!!! Good on ya, what a great fund raising effort!!!
Great effort troops, it would have been very hot that day and an early start so hats off to you. It was well worth your efforts going by the feedback and the amount of money raised. Well done!!!
