Whats in the box
Sorry, cant seem to get any images to load?????
If you put [i m g] before and [/ i m g] after your photo url (without the spaces), the photos will be embedded in your post like this:
Started trimming a few parts , front sight magazine
Also drill out and file parts of the folding stock
Trip to Bunnings for supplies
1x strip of aluminium 20mm wide, 3mm thick for scope rail and a length of 40x40 angle bracket.
Used Billhag TK-1650so build guide and hey pressto!!!
Now to see how its going to look and fit
Not too shabby, so far
Drilled out the blobs at the barrel and replaced with Hex bolts
Looking good Sly should look really good when you're finished.
Thanks Stormraven, early days though, still plenty I can stuff up.
Hope the finished product comes up ok.
Decided to start work on the pistol grip, first drilling out the dodgy resin hex bolt with a 10mm drill bit or a 3/8 if you like.
then cut the thread off a 10mm hex bolt to be placed in the hole
Will glue the bolt head in a a later date
Looking good mate! Stay on target... :-)
Now on the trigger, not an original idea as I got this from another build thread.
Mark lines on the trigger for positioning, cut a piece of coat hanger as the pivot, and cannibalise a pen for a spring.
The hole for the pin is only partially drilled into the opposite side, the pin will be cut to length and the hole puttied over before painting.
Then drilled a hole in the top of the trigger, slowly, slowly. Drill a hole on an angle into the base of the grip, to stop the spring from moving or ever popping out.
Forward position.
Back position.
Mate that is going to be first class ..nice work.
Thought I would start work on power cylinders.
found the right size nuts and bolts at Brisbane Fasteners at Brendale
Sorry for the out of focus photo
First I ground the resin bolts off the front, then very carefully drilled the holes to screw the very small bolts into.
Once ready for final assembley I will grind the heads off and locktight the nets in place.
Checking for alignment
Oooh nice... Will have to look that place up as need some fasteners. I lost one of the ones from the kit I bought
Sweet job on the trigger! Everyone wants to squeeze the trigger!
And yes...Brisbane Fasteners is my second home too. That and Pine Rivers Bearings!
