Big-W Toy Sale
Date: Saturday 28-06-2014
Venue: Big-W in Stockland, Rockhampton
Time: 10am - 1pm
Mission: Help Big-W with their annual Big Toy Sale in Rockhampton and raise money for Give Me Five For Kids.
Trooper Attendance:
RBG: Angelman 6729 CC-Cody, Jacknife 40404 CC-Deviss, Joker 8548 CC-Rex, Poindex 10429 CC-Trauma
Support Crew / Guest Trooper Attendance:
LadyTarkin, Stormybrite, Picasso and staff from Big-W.
Charity Funds Raised: $644.01 (yes people were actually emptying their wallets and pursues into our buckets). Big-W were going to do a $100 donation on our behalf as well.
So the grand total will be $744
Injuries / Malfunctions: Two hand plates let go on Commander Deviss, the joining piece on the inside of the ab-plate on Deviss cracked. Commander Cody developed a crack at the bottom of his diaper. Commander Trauma's thigh retaining belt had adjustment issues. Clones are just so much fun.
Public Incidents: One lad thought about trying to reach for Captain Rex's pistol but a swift word from wrangler Stormybrite averted any potential problem.
Mission Status: Successful (invited again for next year). Apparently we were asked if we were coming on the Sunday as well? (so next year we may expand to attending both days?)
Mission Details:
We came, we trooped, we rocked (well more like rattled).
Thank you so much to the people of Rockhampton that attended the Big-W Toy Sale and thank you for your continued generosity for the Give Me Five For Kids and we all hope to see you there again next year (and who knows hopefully we'll have a few new costumes to show off).
