Hi All

I wrangled for my partner (Dannytheblue) and the boys from Townsville yesterday and loved it! I would like to become a member of the 501st. I want to be an Imperial Royal Guard. Can anyone help with suggested 501st approved sites for help with this costume?

Looking forward to joining the fight against the Rebel scum!
Welcome Louise ,now put the kettle on lol
Welcome Smile
Hi there and welcome to the Redback forums.

Have a look over the Costume Reference Library (CRL) for the royal guard. There are a few to choose from Smile

For your research, I strongly advise you to sign up on the Sovereign Protectors detachment Force Pike. It is the place for all info on the royal guards and you will also find a list of vetted armour suppliers, patterns etc:

While you are in the reading mode have a read through these threads to give you an idea on membership and applications:

More importantly if you have any questions just ask.

Good luck and have fun.
Welcome to the forums Louise. Great to see partners sharing the same hobby. All the best with your costume.
Welcome to the Redback forums.
Many Thanks guys for all your support and help! Lots of research to do, looking forward to it & meeting lots of awesome Star Wars fans!

Danny guess who's making dinner now Smile
Wooo! Welcome aboard! Always good to see more girls in this crazy club!

:D
Welcome! Welcome!
Welcome to the "red is the new black".

Happy to help a new "fellowship of the red crayon" Royalguard
welcome Louise,

I must say you've chosen the best looking costume. Wink
Maybe I'm biased.

Feel free to ask for any help as it's better to ask questions than to get something wrong and have to redo it.

As phantom said register at the forcepike forums.
You'll also need to decide which style of guard you are into before you buy anything, as there are differences between them that affect what you need to get.

Hope to see you at a troop soon.
