We arrived between 4:30 and 5pm and kitted up for pictures and crowd entertainment prior to the showing of the main event (movies on the big screen) Attendance to their night was between 120 -150 people and by raised funds a well supported event. Our host Stephen McCann from the 212 Squadron looked after us all night providing above and beyond to which I know every trooper was gratfull for and Stephen unexpectedly gave every Redback attendee on the night a Challenge coin from the 212 Squadron which I know we will all treasure and ere very grateful to receive. We were all looked after incredibly well and the crowd were fantastic. Charity Funds Raised: $2,466.50. These boots were made for walking Parachutes! What movie is this?? Not Star Wars…don’t know it! Even this armour isn’t strong enough to repel mosquitos of this magnitude! All in group photo Stormraven checks out the 1940’s Flight Module Troop done, time for a Dark Side Roast coffee… 212 Squadron troop Air Force Cadets - Altair - Monday 19-Oct-2015 Nice work everyone! RE: 212 Squadron troop Air Force Cadets - MyKill - Monday 19-Oct-2015 I don't know how it happened, but I was VERY careful to pick a random ticket! Is it weird that I was more excited to win the box, than the contents? And the coffee van! Her iced coffee was more like a delicious coffee slurpee, so good, noisy ...but good! And dropping thrawn home worked out great for me, because I had to take the same route the next day, and the second time around I DIDN'T get forced to take the bridge over to southbank! . RE: 212 Squadron troop Air Force Cadets - stormraven - Monday 19-Oct-2015 This was a great night and good to meet some very generous and enthusiastic fans. And if the that Link trainer looks small it because it is small. I'm glad that the Empire doesn't use those to train pilots. Also it pays to carry a challenge coin on a military base, I had a JRS Challenge coin with me so I was able to around buying drinks and give Stephen one in return for the 212 Squadron one. Stephen the host could not have been more generous and accommodating, he was thrilled to have us along, and after discussions I think we'll be getting a few more 'aviation' themed invites from him in future, bring it! Great job everyone, a lot of fun :-) |
