Klingon Bat'leth - Duras - Thursday 2-Jun-2016 So been making some non-Wars props lately and thought would share the builds here as well as on FB in case my "methods" help with anyone else's projects Using Buzzard's letter opener as a basis I scaled a photo of it up to 1.2m wide and printed off Sheet of MDF and some time with the jigsaw I've since found out that the a Bat'leth should be as from the knee to top of the head so this one is a bit small ... but already too large for convention rules as is and MDF sheet size was easy/cheap to get Sanded in the blade edges Added a little personal touch and put my callsign name in Klingon script and then some painting few more coats to go then its wait for the paint to cure so can add the strapping and do a bit of weathering (quick test of the strapping) using the spare MDF from the sheet also knocking out a Mek'leth ... not worth another thread as same method just different shape RE: Klingon Bat'leth - Duras - Sunday 5-Jun-2016 added the pleather strapping and a bit of weathering to finish it all off Now will need to make a display stand for them RE: Klingon Bat'leth - PhantomBlade - Sunday 5-Jun-2016 Impressive! Except, I end up with this in my head every time I read this thread.... RE: Klingon Bat'leth - Duras - Sunday 5-Jun-2016 we come in peace shoot to kill shoot to kill :D RE: Klingon Bat'leth - major payne - Monday 6-Jun-2016 Does it come with a Certificate of Authenicity, without it, it's worthless :P Klingon Bat'leth - Duras - Monday 6-Jun-2016 Can print one if you like...
