Relay For Life - Hervey Bay 2017 - Baytrooper - Friday 3-Nov-2017 Date:  Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th October 2017 Venue:  Seafront Oval, Hervey Bay Time:  1:00pm Saturday til 9:30am Sunday Mission:  To add Redback awesomeness to the Hervey Bay Relay For Life Trooper Attendance: Arienh  Baytrooper BigDub Dark Dora    DarkFather PhantomBlade Teiwaz Tempus_Redux Details: Firstly, Thank you to any member who trooped an event that contributed to the Hervey Bay Relay For Life team. From Goldnova, to Kilcoy, FraserPop and any other troop that put funds towards our team.   We worked magically as a team and everything ran very smoothly. Definitely up there as one of my favourite troops.  Banner holder installed and approved  We had a pretty cool set up and a nice spot on the oval. We even had a mini cinema set-up to keep entertained. Teiwaz and Dark Dora representing on the first lap for Survivors and Carers. A few pics of us doing some laps. Tempus_Redux in awe of the Boss Man. PhantomBlade ghosting at the campsite. Random Lightsaber shots. The Blue one was our baton for the relay. BigDub arrived for a late night stint and performed like a machine whilst he was there. Now, apparently the Lightsaber (Baton) I chose was too heavy and I was constantly reminded that it was heavier than all the others. I fixed this problem by providing all those who mentioned it with a teaspoon of cement. I didn't think it was heavy at all.    A nice photo with the HOPE sign. There was No Way we could do a troop like this and not be able to enjoy the Fish'n'Grill Parmy. We pre ordered and I went down and picked up the goodness that is Queensland's best Parmy.  Our certificate. Charity Funds Raised: $7121 Injuries / Malfunctions: Lots of blisters Public Incidents: N/A Mission Status: Massive success with great teamwork. There were 8 of us on the track but we were representing the work the Redbacks have done at all those troops. And they weren't all easy gigs. The first $500 was from the wake for one of our friends back in April. We raise money for so many good causes, but cancer is close to home for so many of us. We can't kill it yet, but I'm glad this year we were able to kick it in the nuts.
