Special Children's Christmas Party - Rockhampton - Angelman - Sunday 25-Nov-2012 Date: Saturday 24th November 2012 Venue: Rockhampton Show Grounds Time: 10:00am to 1:00pm Mission: Bring smiles to kids at this wonderful event. Trooper Attendance: Angelman, JOKer, LadyTarkin, Nerf Apologies: Darkcyde, Reaper & Courtney Guest Trooper Attendance: Sithershaw Support Crew: MWH ladies (Tanna, Tanaer, Danielle, Jamila) Injuries: None reported Malfunctions: JOKer Macarena'd off a hand plate, I don't think these suits were designed to dance in. Public Incidents: None Funds Raised: NA Mission Status: Complete success Details: Amazing precision from our pilots again today, with all troops landing their transports within 30 metres of the service entry door at the Rockhampton Show Grounds. With crowds building we quickly armoured up, except for Angelman who took an extra 20 minutes to kit up due to a forgotten helmet (he blames the Wedding Expo recon mission from the week earlier). Eagerly waiting backstage we were announced to hundreds of adoring Imperial fans, to much fanfare we proceeded on to the stage and then we asked to participate in some local greeting ritual called the Macarena? After this interesting and aerobic experience we moved to an area to the side of the stage where a line quickly formed to get photos with us. Here's SOME of the crowd, there was another area to the pavilion that had the rides and a petting zoo, as well as people were still arriving when this image was taken. Big thanks to the ladies from MWH that did a fantastic job of wrangling for us. The troops were intrigued by a local custom of Christmas and in particular of one called Santa Claus, who from what we were able to decipher from the younglings is similar in rank to Vader himself. So in order to gather further intelligence we joined the queue to see him. Turns out this Santa Claus gentleman is on a similar mission to ours, to spread joy happiness and smiles to the young and old. Apparently his garments, like ours, were designed to be worn on Hoth like ice planets or the coldness of space. (I think he's still a little worried that at times the queue for us was as long as his ). Whilst patrolling Angelman and JOKer discovered a suspicious looking droid, but the unit appeared to be deactivated, so we called it in and continued our patrol. I am getting concerned by the number of suspicious droids we are finding in the Rockhampton system. I think Imperial Command should send further reinforcements to investigate further. During one of our patrols we spotted a vendor selling banned Jawa juice. We called it in, only to be informed that the substance is LEGAL in this system. Troopers being troopers they indulged in the local beverage, the results can be seen in the footage below With the troopers now thoroughly intoxicated by the Jawa juice, well .... these images should be left out of my report to my Imperial superiors The Show Girls did a fantastic job of supporting the event and helping Santa distribute the MOUNTAIN of presents. And the clone, not to be out done, of course. And then things really went strange .... I don't know if it was still the effects of the Jawa juice, or it was a mass hallucination or we all DIDN'T WANT FRIES WITH THAT!!! And then even stranger still. Some people say your suppose to see pink elephants? Apparently things are different for us in another galaxy far, far away. So Troopers the order has come down from Imperial command "No troopers are to consume Jawa juice".
