Snipers Lego head build - The Sniper - Thursday 10-Oct-2013

Ok, as some of you have seen, Beanie did his Rexxy last weekend at BrisBricks, with the addition of a lego head made out of a Sort and Save container. Lets just say it was a hit with the kids.

I've decided to do the same sort of thing, but with a different grin. Wink

Here's how to build one. This will only take a few hours, quick and simple with all the right tools.

You will need a dremel with a cutting tool and a sanding bit, glue, lenses that you use for a TK, padding and a fan.

You start with this or another one.Smile

Take out the sorting trays 2 and cut out the centres on both trays.

Sand off any rough bits and glue the 2 trays together, with any suitable glue.

Mark out the bottom and cut it out. You need to put your head threw this, so up to you on the size.

Next is to cut our the eyes. This is how I did mine, leaving the whites in for effect. I also taped to make it easier.

Using a piece of grade 3 or higher welders lenses, like the ones you use in a TK bucket, cut out circles and glue in the lenses. It will help if you use clamps as the helmet is curved.

With the sorting trays, cut out a rectangle so you can see out of. The front of the helmet is double lined, that's why you need to cut this piece out.

Getting close to finishing, as this is an unusual shape, you will need to pad out the helmet. I put a small one in the front, 2 on the sides and a medium size one at the back. Adding a fan will stop any fogging, any fan will do, there is heaps of spare space so knock youself out.

The end result with a little Rebel Fleet Trooper overtones.Hehehe

thank you for doing this up, i like the way you kept the eyes, i might do the same and buy the same face for me rex.

i used cellophane for my eyes but wearing that for a few hours made my vision in normal lense 200/200 vision. think ill be changing that.
