Hi from Western Brisbane - Aussiegamer - Friday 7-Feb-2014

Hi,

I am new and interested in becoming a Clone Trooper from the clone wars era. Not sure of what type yet.

I am over 18, way over Smile

I am also looking at getting an imperial officer uniform for my wife.

Cheers
Rick

Hi Rick & welcome. As you can see we're a pretty friendly bunch & I'm sure you'll find someone who can answer any questions you may have.

I'd recommend you sign up to the clone detachment website (http://www.clonetroopers.net) for all specific clone info and here is the link to the Costume Reference Library (http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CTN_CRL) where you'll find the costume requirements for 501st approval.

For your wife you'll want to head over to the IOC Detachment (http://www.imperialofficer.com) and sign up, and here is the link to the CRL on the main 501st board (http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IOC_CRL).

You'll find build threads for both costumes both on here in the armor progress section, and on the detachment forums.

Have fun with your research, I look forward to meeting your both at a Troop or AP in the future.

Cheers
Craig

Welcome Smile

Great advice there from Bids, you might also want to check out our guide for aspiring cadets (it’s a Google doc, so you need to download it to view it)

Gday Aussiegamer it looks like Commander Thorn is a shock trooper as such look at this Costume guideline here http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CT_-_Shock_Trooper . It doesn't look like there is any official guidelines for him yet but if he is part of the CW he should be able to get approved. You will need to talk to some of the guys on the Clone detachment forums though for more clarification.
