Specsavers Chermside SES Fundraiser - Kev Vader - Wednesday 26-Nov-2014 Date: 22nd November 2014 Venue: Specsavers Chermside Time: 1100 hrs – 1400 hrs Mission: Raise funds for SES QLD Trooper Attendance: RBG: SL 4035 Kev Vader – Vader RL: Stormraven - Jedi MM/GA etc: N/A Support Crew / Guest Trooper Attendance: The Specsavers Crew Details: Specsavers Chermside had committed itself to raising funds for SES QLD. The Legion’s were invited to assist, and we gladly accepted. Along with a suspicious character who made balloon animals, but was certainly a Bothan spy, Stormraven and Vader were merciless in their repeated photo opportunities. The afternoon culminated in Vader being given a thorough eye-test and fitted for some Sithly frames… Charity Funds Raised: approximately $140 was raised rattling the bucket. After discussion with Specsavers management, they agreed to match this amount, and a donation was also made based on the number of eye-tests were conducted during the day. The final total was over $700 raised. Injuries / Malfunctions: Apparently Vader needs glasses.
