Looking very nice. Loving the unique design helmet.

Spent a bit of time on this build as well over the last couple of weeks, painted the final coat of grey on the armour




Masked the GT stripes that I wanted on the armour. Also note that the grey was still a bit wet but that is the effect I was after.




Orange GT stripes applied and with the silver under the grey paint the masking tape made nice damage marks on it

Also fitted the blue LED to the helmet as well. Needs to be weathered now like the armour

This armour is coming along rather awesomely.

Have managed to kick on with the Mando build a bit more but after a quick check of the Mando forums it would appear that the armour I have purchased is no longer approvable and the 3 month grace to get it done was in the middle of last year

Oh well I shall still finish it regardless













Need to weather the jump suit, finish the gauntlets, attach the plates to the boots and weather and do the flak jacket

Well that's a pooper after it looks so nice.

So same question as Bay what about it is now unapprovable?

The armour supplier in the USA has a rep for supplying sub standard and over priced bits and so they have decided that armour from the supplier can no longer be approved. That means all armour bits apart from the helmet main bit I have issues with were the neck plate and knee bits.

You should still try. Just don't say where the armour comes from.

IF they should happen to ID the armour, then explain when you bought it and the amount of work you put into it. AND ask them if apart from the name of the supplier, is there anything ACTUALLY wrong with it.

Still progressing and doing some minor mods along the way, either way it will be fun to get into for Nova's and the like
