Hi diddly-ho from Ipswich!i

Hey all!

I've been a long time fan since before I can remember! Some of my first memories is watching Star Wars with my dad, and always being a fan of the TIE Fighters and by extension, the Pilots!

It's always been my dream to be a member of the 501st as a TIE Pilot, but haven't found the motivation to, but going to Supanova on the Gold Coast, and meeting members and seeing/riding the Scout Speeder Bike and even seeing a TIE Pilot suit in person definitely got me interested in doing it, but having a few (By that, I really mean a LOT) health problems have hindered me being able to do anything about it until now!!

Hope to be able to get the pieces I need (and make pieces) to be allowed into the 501st!

Quick question, is there any place I should look at to get pointed in the right direction to start buying some of the pieces I need? I also have an ANOVOS  TIE Pilot helmet on its way from a friend and was wondering if that is 100% accurate?

In any case, shall be fun!

TIE Pilot huh....GREAT choice but I could be biased.

Head on over to www.jrs501st.com and sign up on our detachment forums. Everything you need to know about pilots is over there.

When I get home from work today (in Ipswich haha) I will send you a complete list that I send out to all of the cadets assigned to me regarding flightsuit, boots etc.
Basically what to look for and more importantly what to avoid.

Hi mate and welcome to the forums.
There area a couple of Tie Pilots but I am guessing that you are looking at the ANH Tie Pilot, have a good read of the Costume Reference Libray (CRL) to get to know the costume and sign up on the detachment to do the research on where to get armour etc.

Looks like you have been given plenty of good advice already but I would strongly suggest that you head on over to the detachment http://www.jrs501st.com/ to do your research.

I don't know much about the ANOVOS Tie helmet the detachment would be the best place to ask about that.

Have a read through this thread for all the CRLs and run down on the approval process.
