Converging on the new location for this the 10th year of light the night in Mackay, the mixed rabble of troops entered the main arena to show solidarity for those who have had lives affected by blood cancer.
After the emotional speeches made by those who are going through, survived and lost loved ones the walk began.
A sea of blue, white and golden lanterns filled the bridge across one of Mackays largest rivers an amazing and awe inspiring site and an honour to be part of.
The still, humid air made for an arduous and trying walk for the troops but they continued on. Committed to this cause which touches so many
