Troop Report
Combined troop reports for the Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland troops this year!

Date: December 2nd 2023

Venue: Queens Park Botanical Gardens, Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland

Time: 6pm – 9:30pm

Mission:
To support local charities and take photos with the locals!

Trooper Attendance:
RBG: CT:33827 Bolt, TK:90579 Scotty33, CC:17665 RIngMaster

Wranglers:
BH:22810 Snips, DZ:17813 Jawajess

Details:
1800: Arrive, RingMaster and JawaJess were the first to arrive
1830: Fighting off the mosquitos we suited up and took a group pic
1850: Walking into the park we signed in and found a spot to stake out for the night. Turns out some of the lights weren’t working so we could have found a better place for pics, but that should be fixed next time.
1900: Gates opened and people entered the park!
2030: For a solid hour and a half we took pictures with the public.
2130: We continued taking pictures and when the crowds and when things slowed, we called it a night!

Injuries / Malfunctions: No injuries to report besides mozzie bites. No malfunctions!

Public Incidents: Our crying total was 5 for the night I think.. public was well behaved for the most part which was great.

Mission Status: Success!

Big thanks to our wranglers, you guys did a great job considering how massive the crowds were. We had some really nice interactions with kids and I’m sure we helped the Lions Club get plenty of donations.

Date: December 10th 2023

Venue: Queens Park Botanical Gardens, Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland

Time: 6pm – 9:00pm

Mission:
To support local charities and take photos with the locals!

Trooper Attendance:
RBG: CB:33827 Bolt, TK:90579 Scotty33, CC:17665 RIngMaster, TK:29566 Oxy, TI:20552 MyKill, DZ:17813 Jawajess

Wranglers:
BH:22810 Snips

Details:
1800: Arrive, Suit up. Bolt and Studio49 were scouts and cheated by half kitting up at home.
1840: MyKill arrived and did one of his speed suit ups. All troopers encircled him to increase his speed.
1850: Walking into the park we signed in and found a spot for the night. Location chosen had great lighting.
1900: Gates opened and people entered the park. Crowds were even larger than the previous week.
2030: There were no breaks in the lines of people wanting a picture, all troopers performed admirably.
2100: Troopers returned to vehicles to de-kit.

Injuries / Malfunctions: My chest piece snapped at the straps needing a duct tape repair and my fans died after only 45mins. Jonah’s balaclava kept falling over his eyes. Scotty’s back was killing him by the end of the night. Jess couldn’t see anything in the dark.

Public Incidents: We had a few rowdy people through the night. One forcibly put his arms around Ringmaster’s Pauldron and Jess’s shoulder + grabbed my blaster. Poor Snips was constantly yelling at the crowds to form a line and chasing kids. Even I had to yell at people at one point.

Mission Status: Success!

Well done to all our troopers, it was a massive night with thousands of people who were difficult to manage at points. Definitely a two-wrangler event, Snips nearly lost her voice through the night.
Big thanks to everyone!

Venue: Queens Park Botanical Gardens, Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland

Time: 6pm – 9:00pm

Mission:
To support local charities and take photos with the locals!

Trooper Attendance:
RBG: CT:33827 Bolt, TK:29566 Oxy, TI:20552 MyKill, BH:22810 Snips, BH:57730 BobaCanuck, TK:28720 Imperial Soup
Wranglers: TK:90579 Scotty33

Details:
1800: Arrive, Suit up. Rain had only just cleared as we arrived giving some spectacular skies.
1850: Walking into the park we signed in and found a spot for the night. Imperial Soup had difficulties and rejoined the group at opening time with the help of Scotty.
1900: Gates opened and people entered the park. People were instantly lining up for pictures.
2030: Scotty and Lauren did an awesome job wrangling the crowds and keeping an eye on us troopers.
2050: The crowds dropped off after a solid line the entire time. We called it and returned to our vehicles.

Injuries / Malfunctions: My chest piece needed to be taped closed and a flying insect decided to go into my helmet (had to bucket off in public). Soup had sweat in his eyes, Snip’s Santa hat kept falling off and Mykill had some kind of issue with his helmet again.

Public Incidents: At the start of the event, Boba had a bloke try to take his blaster from him. Nothing malicious, the guy just had no idea that he couldn’t just come up and grab our blasters.

Mission Status: Success!

A perfect end to the Wonderland Troops. The crowds were well behaved and there were a lot of families and genuine fans. A special thanks to Lauren for coming along to help wrangle, you were fantastic!
