Details: This was the Redback's fifth appearance at Dayboro Show.

The perfect weather brought another big crowd this year. We did three stints in costume, essentially long patrols around the outside of the arena. The show had a good sized sideshow alley, the arts craft and produce on show, and various vendors. Including my favourite, the machinery vendors, who are always accommodating having Star Wars characters all over their vehicles and equipment.

We always do a walkaround each year before we kit up, looking for trip hazards, choke points and introducing ourselves to vendors. Its a lot easier to do that before we are in costume. One of the vendors asked me how Star Wars was relevant to a country show. I said I could talk about the thousands of dollars we've raised for rural charities, but you're better off just watching us work and see the reactions from the families. I saw the same vendor later, she just smiled and said "I get it now."

The show committee were again great to deal with and grateful for our attendance. It takes years to develop the these relationships and we never take that for granted. The Redbacks have built a brand there and they know that they can trust us to have a great impact with the public without incident. Its a great relationship and we're grateful they keep asking us back.

Change room was an equipment shed, easy to find and fine for our needs. The show committee will be making a donation on our behalf and I'll update this post when it comes through.

Thanks to Kelz for wrangling and the photos, and thanks troopers for making the drive out there. Another a great day.
