Trooper Attendance:
Muppet – Sandie/ Wrangle
Rubber – Wrangle / POC
Chopper – Tie Pilot Reserve / wrangle
Blueski - Sand Trooper
Stormraven – Garindan
Buzzard - Stormtrooper
Rebelrach - Jawa

Guest Trooper Attendance:
Inaugural troop for the wonderful Princess Leia Sophie (Choppers daughter)
Alrakis – wrangling for Jackson (GA) as Mini Darth Vader and Clone Trooper
Detail: Local inhabitants of Mos Eisley were dispatched to asses a new location for a cantina, under the watchful eyes of TK Buzzard and TD Muppet. Mini Darth Vader and Princess Leia Sophie were in attendance to review the site for a possible new Empire (or Rebel) outpost.

Troopers paraded to the main fete area to assess and survey the facilities and local inhabitants. Immediately set upon by excitable kids and parents, photos were taken, guns and armour were examined, noses and costumes were poked and the occasional small local was scared. TK Buzzard took some time out for shopping and chastising the light fingered Jawa Rebelrach who was fascinated by stalls with shiny things. TD Blueski kept close watch on proceedings in constant communication with the spy Garindin, who was acting shady. Wranglers Rubber and Alrakis did well keeping the locals at bay and guiding the troopers around the site.

Troopers hit the school oval and fun ensued, more photos, questions, interested and suspicious locals. Jawa spotted and stole a kids bike, was threatened by TK and returned it. Blueski spied the Mr Whippy van and was tempted. Mini Vader and Mini Leia headed for the giant big dipper slide followed by Jawa Rach (with build in potato sack). Mini Darth completed his slide with Imperial precision, Mini Leia and Jawa Rach a little more excitable. All agreed a giant slide was a must for any new outpost.

A short break was taken then the troopers went out again, this time with Muppet wrangling and Mini Vader now a mini clone. More photos – and babies - and excitement and the troopers wrapped it up around 3pm. Site was dismissed as a possible new Imperial outpost as too comfortable with too much junk food available.

Special mention to Sophie Leia, her first troop and she held her blaster like a pro and did a very regal job, congratulations Chopper, what a great little trooper you have there.

Jackson as Mini Darth and Mini Clone was a big hit with the locals his size, and a great rep for the Galactic Academy. Certainly got parents and kids thinking about the possibility and great PR from Alrakis provided.

Also reinforcement arrived around 4pm, in shape of Spooky, Bullant and family and Azrael after their Birthday party troop, and were crestfallen to find out that the mission was completed.

Charity Funds Raised: Nil.

Injuries: Nil!).

Public Incidents: Several children arrested then set free with a warning, a few toddlers scared, Garindan scored a few pokes in the snout. Buzzard did attempt to eat some fairy floss – with bucket ON!

Mission Status:Big success, staff and Parents and Friends Association organiser were delighted with us, and we were treated to drinks and the BBQ for a late lunch (score!) Also a few bargains to be had at the Trash n Treasure and half price plant sale later....
Awareness for 501st and especially Galactic Academy raised (we should have a few new cadets out of this!)

This was a fun day out the kids weren't too hyper despite the fairy floss and other sugar treats. Having a few Galactic Academy kids along was a great bonus as well, and Jackson has the poses for his characters done pat. And the parents were really appreciative that we came along.
Duty * Honor * Empire

What do you call a stormtrooper who can hit a target?

Can I just remind people especially the newby's who probably don't even know - It's the responsibility of the POC of the event to do the troop report. Please don't just go ahead and do a report without checking first with the POC. In this case it was Rubber and he was downloading photos and doing the report today. It hasn't been done before this because he trooped again at a belly dance concert I performed at Saturday niught, then did the little Miracles walk Sunday. Yesterday he worked a very long day. Please check in future.

A thouroughly enjoyable afternoon helping out with the GA kids (and bigger ones).
CBH-0525 is getting more enthusiastic every time he troops. Thanks so much to Rubber and all the other 501st members for their help and encouragement - few more Troops and "She who must be obeyed" might even consent to a set of armour for me as well ??
