Terror's DL-44 Greedo Killer Build

Just started a new build on the infamous Greedo killer (you know the one that shot first!).

Doopydoos resin kit from the UK, very good casting in this kit with good detail. Some mods are planned to get it to look as much off the set as possible.

A bit of progress over the last couple of days, sanded all the parts several times to remove the flashing and imperfections, used a scapel to deepen as many of the detail grooves as I can.

Did some minor assembly to check for fit and gave it a lights spray of grey primer and all the porous become evident




Also added some more of the greebs and trial fit.

What glue and brand of paint do you use? (Being a master of arms :P ).. Might do a doopydoo one myself...

2 part epoxy glue in a tube and using the plasticote brand of paint from masters. they do primers, matt, satin, gloss and clear at a reasonable price.

to make that a merrsonn power 5 would it just be leave the scope of it and add the other greeblie and cable?

The MSP5 is a fair bit different mate. It could be done but you'd have to mod it a fair bit as the MSP5 doesn't have the front fins. There are better options out there with less work involved. Pretty good pictures here http://www.partsofsw.com/merrson2.htm

Doopy's do actually have an MSP5 kit, but apparently it's in storage. I sent tons of emails and even called them to discuss and they said they'd quote me on a bulk order (back when I did my ID), but they never got back to me.

Spent last week sanding and filling the resin holes and cast seams, not fun at all. Did the required undercoats, several coats of matt black and also the brown for the handle.















Need to now add some weathering and add the reticule detail for the scope and a couple of clear coats

Scope, was thinking of bringing another 3 into the country of the different versions, build them up and sell them off. Price still TBA but not the expensive
