Pipe for Doopy Doo's E-11 and now build
#1
Build Thread
I haven't been able to find the right size PVC pipe for my Doopy Doo's E-11 kit, is there a special type of pipe that is used? I've tried 25mm and 32mm Holmans PN12 which is a white pipe from the plumbing section of Bunning put are too small and too big respectively.

I use 40mm electrical conduit. The grey stuff. You can get it from Haymans or any electrical place.

what OEvil1 says...

I've got 40 mm electrical conduit from Masters 6 meters long for like $9 and had them cut to lengths for me Smile

gave me lots of spares so could get the best one done.

If you want to do metal there is a $5 table leg at Ikea you can use that is the right size for doopys kit as well. I've got one and will to be doing a build thread with it soon

Thanks guys, Bunnings only stock up to 32mm , so now to find out if I can source it locally or it will have to wait for another trip up the Coast to Masters

Bunnings keep their electrical conduit in the lighting section, a different area to the plumbing pipe.

I got my 40mm pipe from ideal electrical. You can probably get it from haymans aswell. If you can't find it at all, I could possibly send some down to you.

I've got a gal tube from part of a tent pole running the entire length of the blaster

At this point I would like some opinions/feedback regarding weight for trooping and around the gal pipe, general appearance of the blaster.

the blaster as you see it here weighs 800g, still requires the T tracks , scope and scope rail

Close up of internal, feedback please? what do you think of the tube inside? does it make it look authentic or not?

Things left to do, build or find a M-19 scope, paint grips Gloss black, ad texture to paint finish ( I'd appreciate any ideas) at the moment looks far too clean and then weather it.

I think the Tube looks great from the ejection port forward, as it replicates a barrel. Personally I'd removed the tube behind the bolt as it should be open. If you have a look at Genuine Stirling pictures you'll see the bolt actually extends back past the cocking lever slide and has the spring behind it. The bolt slides back into the housing against spring tension as it ejects spent shells so all you should be able to see behind the bolt is the spring. This build is coming up great.

That's a great shot Duras, shows what I mean about the bolt extending back into the cocking lever grove and running in the rear housing.

$1.18 funnel from Bunnings

scrap of perspex (approx 6mmx6mm)
plastic container from the cutting disks from my Aldi rotary tool (dremel)
super glue

Just needs a coat of primer and black
and a set of Oevil's scope lenses (providing they'll fit this model)
