I think you might need to go a bit darker to match the stocks in the movie, which had that telltale oiled timber look that old rifles have. the red is nice, but to me it's still a bit bright, it could be a bit more "gritty"

Ok this one is nearly done as well.
Primer undercoat and then a quick sand.
Flat black to come with some light scuff markings for weathering.

So I did a coat of black to see. Now I will light buff it and see if I can get some scratches to come through, cause lets face it Sandy's are not known for being clean freaks.
