Having a trooper in Gympie is a huge advantage, definitely take Bids up on the offer of a beer and checking out his armour, once you've seen an approved kit firsthand a lot of the stuff you read on the forums make more sense...

On the maker for that kit, I'm not sure that's an FX Kit either, the shoulder area on the chestplate looks very different to my FX armour :/

The best part about the Redbacks, is that people here are super helpful, so ask as many questions as you like, there's always someone here who will know the answer

Welcome Dax,

Not a bad score, as long as it fits you straight out of the box. That helmet does look like an FX, which can look a bit big on most people, known as the bobblehead. Guys mainly change it out for a MR/EFX helmet, which needs to be modified to meet standards. Boots will need replacing, also the ab buttons, and the straps around the biceps.
