Hello. I'm new and looking for help
#1
Hey guys and gals,

I am new and want to say hello to all of you. I live on the Sunshine Coast and have a co-worker who has just built his Stormtrooper armour. I want to do the same and was wondering where the best place to start would be. Also is there anyone on the Sunshine Coast or Brisbane area that meet regularly to help new people build suits?

Hey Wake, there's actually 5 of us down here, Mortogg, Scoot040, Solo, and Gauge! I'm Reb, nice to meet you! I'm actually a Jawa, so I don't know much about TKs but Scoot is building one, so he should be able to help. I'll poke him in your direction.

Hi there and welcome.

What you need to do is as Sly has said above, sign up on FISD and get in touch with the vetted resellers for the best kit that will suit your body type and budget. Get in contact with the sellers and give them as much info as you can your height, weight, bicep size, thigh size etc so you can find out the best kit to suit your body type and your budget.
List of sellers:
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11...find-them/
You should ask your co-worker where they got their kit from, word of mouth is a good start.

I would also suggest that you have a read of these couple of threads:

http://www.501st.com.au/forum/showthread.php?tid=6719

Don't forget to ask lots of questions, we are a pretty friendly and helpful lot.

Good luck and have fun!

Hey Scoot. I am in Caloundra and the moment. I've only just joined and am still looking into TK armour. I am looking for a good manufacturer that I can get a suit from to build. I'm 5'10 and 75kgs

Anovos is a great company, and the only amour maker actually licensed by Disney. The only issue is, their license is only valid for sales in the U.S. So if you want their gear, you'll need to work around that.

I am sure they are great kits but at this stage I don't know if anyone has submitted one for approval. I am unsure whether how much additional work, if any, is required to get it approved. I haven't checked FISD to see if there are any threads about this kit but my suggestion would be to ask on FISD about this particular kit.

Thanks Phantom,

I'll defintely be doing my research before I purchase a kit. On th 501st official Instagram page they have people in this armour so I'm hoping that it would all be good. I've emailed the company to discuss with them. I'll look into a few other manufacturers, I'm just not 100% sure who to go through. I just want a kit so I can get started haha, but I want something that will be proper Smile
