The new workshop needed a new project. So I started on a project I've had on the shelf for ages...my very own Scout Blaster Kit.
Here it is in its ugliest state.
After blowing the dust off the pieces I began by removing the sprue's and the seam lines with a lot of sanding.
If you don't have these sanding sticks, get some! I love these things!!
First coat of primer/filler to find any defects...
Just a little bit of bog needed. Will fix that when I do the next set of molds for a cleaner pull. Oh boy...more sanding ahead of me :P
Teeny tiny bubbles are an annoyance! Sigh!!! :P
While all the bog is curing, time to fashion the trigger guard. It is made from 20mm x 3mm aluminium flat bar.
A nice fit
After the trigger guard has been screwed into place, I bogged over each end for an eventual seamless join.
Now what is next...oh that's right...more sanding. WOOHOO!!! :P
