Date: 8th August 2012
Venue: Mater Childrenâ€s Hospital
Time: 1000hrs – 1200hrs
Mission: To bring the EKKA to the children with a party in the courtyard!
Trooper Attendance: Kev Vader, Stormraven and Madam Sith (in rebel disguise)
Guest Trooper Attendance: Nil
Support Crew: Nil
Detail: Madam Sith arrived early; eager to don her rebel disguise and undertake imperial reconnaissance. Lord Vader and Stormraven joined shortly after. All three were escorted by Captain Gumbo through the wards and up to the courtyard for fun and games. Many photos were taken and nurses scared.
Vader and Madam Sith (with the assistance of Kenny Koala) took up the challenge of musical statues with many eager children. Thankfully the future of the empire is not dependant on the dancing prowess of Lord Vader
After spreading much joy and happiness to the children it was time to leave.
On a personal note, this was my first hospital troop. I feel privileged to have shared part of my day with such awesome young people. Their courage and strength put life into perspective.
Charity Funds Raised: N/A
Injuries: None (though some nurses may need to visit the cardiac unit after their encounters with Lord Vader!)
Malfunctions: Nil
Public Incidents: Nil
Mission Status: Success!
