Going to an armour party (AP) is a great idea. You can get an idea of how much pain (and fun) your in for with your costume choice. Bearing in mind some of the most challenging costume builds are also the most rewarding. You will strangely acquire many new skill sets you never knew you had.
Enjoy the journey.
