As ever Luke...looking AWESOME!!! But I have to ask, how do you get a finish like that on the foam? I want to try a build using this technique, but I keep thinking about glue marks...and how do you bog/fill small gaps? Teach me Eva-guru Notworthy

Bring on the foam parties Doppeldaumen1
Don't mean to hyjack this thread, but didn't think it was worth starting my own on the same topic.

I've been making some some stuff out of foam myself and thought it would be cool to share it.

Some tips are cut over size and trim to size, or be very careful if cutting to size. Glue in small parts at a time.
Note how round I was able to get the dome.

I've used the same 10mm EVA foam (also bought from Bunnings) and this really cheap superglue (a whole $0.67 per twin 3mm pack!) that just sticks. None of the other cheap glues I've used stick like this stuff does.

The trick is keep your cuts square and USE A SHARP BLADE!

And the two Pred Bios I've made.

The one of the left is a combination of folding/gluing and stock removal (basically grinding the foam into shape) and the one on the right is my latest version of simply folding and gluing.

The one on the left is covered in ABS Sludge and painted. I am not sure what I will do for the 2nd one just yet.

Total cost $60 for both, so cheap and fun. The 2nd build is the results of just 10 hours.
