Bit of a preview of things to come. Here is what one of the R2 Builders are working on.

This is the structure of the ball. The detailed skin will be attached to the outside, and is 3mm thick. There are tracks for an Arduino based lighting system to control RGB LED's, and can house a battery system underneath the skin of the ball which the structure is 12mm thick. Once they know more about the balls functions, there is the ability for the ball to house micro servos to animate the details. I have the files, and once my printer arrives, I will be starting work on my ball. Hopefully I'll have a static BB-8 ready for Brisnova.

So the 3D printed dome parts have arrived. Next step is to clean up the parts and prep for paint.
