Howdy I’m Rylee. I’m a 19 year old currently living in south east Queensland. I don’t have a lot of experience with making armor so any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to meeting and interacting with you all.

Hi Rylee , by the title of your thread you’re contemplating a Clone build , it’s a great detachment and has a vast range of costumes to choose from . Do you have a particular character you wish to attempt ?
Firstly sign up on the Clonetrooper Detachment, the Detachments are the repositories for much build information.

There is an armor manufacturer in Australia for clone armor that make good kits at a reasonable price , depending on the particular clone you’re considering they would be worth contacting.

Hey man yeah I was looking at making a realistic phase 2 332nd trooper I posted a thread linked here
https://www.501st.com.au/forum/thread-16243.html

I was looking at Chris's website and found an excellent helmet linked here
https://www.christhepropguy.com/collecti...ion-helmet

However I wasn't sure quite sure if it was animated or realistic. As for the main armor itself I was considering 3d printing the rest of it. If i were to 3d print the armor instead of getting a kit what extra parts would I need to buy if any?

From personal experience I wouldn’t recommend 3D printing armor for 501st use , the durability, longevity and heat resistance don’t make it practical. Add to that the countless hours to print a full kit would be a nightmare , certainly contact Chris and explain what you want in a kit and he’ll help with what he can .

Hey man thanks for the advice. I do have some questions about how vacuum formed kits work if you are ok with that. Do you have discord or something we could call in?
