Hi everyone,
So I'm a complete newbie, but have been a massive Star Wars fan since I was 3 (or 4). I love the Empire and in particular Stormtroopers and would like to get a TK set of armour.
Of course, I have absolutely no idea how to do that, so I would appreciate help on getting started.
I'm really looking forward to hopefully being able to join the 501st!
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the redback forums
What you need to do is sign up on White Armor (FISD) and get in touch with the vetted resellers for the best kit that will suit your body type and budget. Get in contact with the sellers and give them as much info as you can your height, weight, bicep size, thigh size etc so you can find out the best kit to suit your body type and your budget.
List of sellers:

I would also suggest that you have a read of these couple of threads:

Don't forget to ask lots of questions, we are a pretty friendly and helpful lot.
Good luck and have fun!

Hi there and welcome to the Mighty Redbacks.
So a Storm trooper hey, great choice although I may be a little bias.
First check out the Costume reference library. Have a read here first

You will see that there are more than one version of the humble Storm trooper, or TK as we call them.
You have ANH stunt and hero versions, ESB and Rotj as well.
Choose the one you like the best and go from there.
Next, sign up on the storm trooper detachment FISD

This is the biggest reference site you will ever find on TK's, how to buy/build etc I am Sly11 over there, so sign up introduce yourself and i will show you around.
The key to this hobby is research, so I hope you are prepared to have your mind blown.
Phantom should be along soon to give you some more tips.
Welcome again, and enjoy the ride

Thanks a Lot! I appreciate it. Yeah... my mind is blown at the moment, but it looks like I have to email around to a few of the sellers. When I do, should I basically give them my rough size, then preferences on how I want the kit? I don't mind doing a bit of work, but I don't have access to a lot of resources (like painting). How did you do yours?

All the fun is in buying the kit and assembling it yourself. There isn't very much to paint at all, a few buttons on the ab plate and a few details on the helmet. You will do fine, and you will have plenty of support.
