3D Printed Thermal Detonator
#1
Well what do you do when you're waiting for Vader parts to arrive? Build a Thermal Detonator of course!

So this 3D print was the first thing I ever printed way back when and it'd been sitting in a box unfinished since.
I figured it was time to do it justice and finish it to the best of my abilities and I just finished when I wired up the LED tonight.

Fun little project that'll look nice in the man cave corner of my home office Smile

Oh and I should mention that this is one of the few things I didn't CAD myself. It was a model I downloaded elsewhere and used to test the schools printers while I was the Workshop Assistant. Although with that said I am tempted to model my own more accurate Thermal Det!

Nice! I've got one of these printed but has been sitting on the shelf for months... must get around to finishing it.
Does your LED just turn on/off or blink?

Thanks mate and get the whole feeling of "well I have it, but when will get around to finishing it!"

As for the lights it just turns on and as I flick the switch.
I'm still learning how to do electronics and I would have no clue on how to make it blink. Maybe that'll be another project down the line Smile

(In your best C-3PO voice): 'Because he's holding a thermal detonator!' Looks awesome mate, well done. I know we don't see Boba using one but I still think he might have one tucked away somewhere...tools of the trade and all that.

Looks good. I am currently in the middle of printing my own. Should be finished by the time I get back to my printer tomorrow. I hope it comes up as good as yours.
