Now the build/mod has progressed a bit I will detail what I did based off some feedback and comments from the Garrison.

Sanded off the words and markings etc so that the raised lettering is not visible. Also filled the holes and some lines with putty.

Cut off the orange blaster tip, being very carefull not to cut off the LED and associated wiring, thanks major payneSmile

Then cut off the front of the sight.

Did a silver undercoat to allow the marks and scuffs to shine through like normal wear and tear.

Applied the matt black finish in several coats and still have to apply a final and then apply the dry brush weathering.

Thanks guys for the feedback, did not exepect to get my blaster done before my armor had arrived. I have done the final coat and also detailed the ejection port and added the recticle sticker. Contemplating the wires Cav but need more reference info to do it right as I have seen a few variations of how it should be done. Going to do a dry brush and scuff it up a bit so it does not look like a noob E-11Smile

Thanks heaps for posting this Terror!!!

I have just got a hasbro blaster from the UK (not too bad $$$ wise), after finding that Oz is woefully stocked *sigh*

Now to get my DD kit and some paint Smile I love the silver undercoat idea.

Beanie...thanks for trooperbay mate...BRILLIANT!!!

While I organise to view some different armour configurations, I figured one thing I'm going to need is an E-11 Smile I've followed the links in this thread, but I can't seem to find an E-11 for sale on ebay (other than someone in Oz that wants $60 for it ...) and trooperbay has them listed but won't let me add one to the cart.

So does anyone know of anywhere that has these available at the moment? Hopefully having a blaster to mod will help me keep the armour impulse buy thoughts at bay.

Lastly, I've searched a lot and read every thread I can find, but can't find an answer. I can see the forms required to import a replica weapon, but I was wondering if there is any requirement to lodge any form of paperwork to own and use one while trooping? My plan is to purchase the Hasbro E-11 and mod it with the DD kit exactly as TerrorFirma has done.

In short, no.
Just don't be silly with it while out in public especially the version's other members have that may look more realistic.

[Edit] May pay at times to be somewhat discreet when when moving fm your vehicle to a troop location, ie some sort of covering & or bag enclosure.
I've just recently brought a ski bag for my DLT-19 as I find it troublesome to keep breaking it down, still waiting on it to arrive.
